Petaling Jaya, 3 March 2026 – Honda Malaysia officially launched the New CR-V today, marking a major step in the brand’s hybrid expansion strategy by introducing two hybrid variants within a single model lineup for the first time. The New CR-V is now available in the new e:HEV E and flagship e:HEV RS variants, underscoring Honda’s dedication to delivering advanced electrified mobility and an enjoyable driving experience to more Malaysians.

This year, we are enhancing its appeal with a new hybrid variant, reinforcing our commitment to making Honda’s hybrid technology accessible to a wider audience and accelerating our hybrid market growth in Malaysia.”

The hybrid models are powered by Honda’s advanced 2.0L e:HEV powertrain, producing 184PS and 335Nm of torque. Designed for SUV performance, this powertrain offers smooth, powerful, and highly efficient hybrid driving. The system automatically switches between three driving modes—EV Drive, Hybrid Drive, and Engine Drive—selecting the most efficient mode based on real-time conditions. Adding to the driving experience, the e:HEV variants include an exclusive Individual Drive Mode, allowing drivers to customize their driving dynamics for a personalized ride.

The New CR-V features refreshed exterior and interior designs that enhance its premium SUV appeal, practicality, and safety. A new striking color option, Blazing Red Pearl, is introduced. All variants come standard with Honda Authorised Solar and Security tint film by ECOTINT, improving comfort and protection.

Hybrid variants showcase distinctive 18-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels, while the turbocharged variant features 18-inch Sparkle Silver alloy wheels, highlighting their unique characters.

Inside, the e:HEV RS variant boasts a darker hairline film finish on the dashboard for a more premium feel, with seats embossed with the RS logo to emphasize its sporty, flagship status.

The New CR-V is equipped with advanced technology for enhanced convenience and safety, suitable for everyday driving and adventure. Key features available across all variants include:

• A 9-inch Advanced Display Audio system supporting wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, providing a seamless and personalized driving experience. Integrated Google Audio Services offer hands-free Google Assistant, real-time navigation via Google Maps, and access to various apps through Google Play.
• Digital Key, a first for Honda Malaysia, enables owners to lock/unlock and start the vehicle using a mobile device, offering flexibility and modern convenience. Remote functions such as Remote Window Close and Remote Power Tailgate are accessible via the Honda CONNECT app.
• Blind Spot Information (BSI) system improves driving confidence by monitoring rear diagonal blind spots and alerting the driver with illuminated side-mirror indicators.
• Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM) enhances safety when reversing by detecting approaching vehicles from either side and alerting the driver to potential hazards.

These updates further position the New CR-V as a technologically advanced and safety-oriented SUV, designed to meet the evolving needs of customers.
